24th November 2011. 7.30pm. The Voskresenije Choir of St Petersburg.

This was an excellent evening raising over £400 for the Friends. Look out for their return in 2012

Events 2012

5 March 2012. Annual General Meeting. 7.30pm, The Fuller Rooms, Bottesford.

The Friends of St Mary's AGM at 7.30pm in the Fuller Rooms, Bottesford. Followed by cheese and wine.

All Friends welcome. During the evening there will be a talk from one of the Friends of St Wulfram's, Grantham who will share their experience of fund-raising. The Friends of St Wulfram's have been in existence for over 60 years, so we are sure they will have plenty of excellent ideas for us.

During the meeting, we will also have a number of brief reports, a request for volunteers to help us with 2012's planned events, and we will be looking to elect 2 trustees to stand for a further period of one year.

We look forward to seeing people on the night, but if you could advise Malcolm Owen on ms.owen@which.net if you intend to come along. This will  help us with catering for the cheese and wine after the meeting.

27th April 2012 - Quiz Night. 7.30pm, The Bowls Club, Bottesford.

Sharpen your pencils; brains into gear. The second Friends of St Mary's quiz night will be held on the 27th April at the Bowls Club, Belvoir Road, Bottesford. Our first quiz night was a great success, and we raised over £400. A buffet will be served half way through. Please contact John Daybell for tickets.

19th May 2012 - Hatfield Colliery Brass Band. 7.30pm, St Mary's Church, Bottesford.

Not to be missed. This UK championship brass band will perform for us in the magnificent surroundings of St Mary's Church. Tickets will be available very soon.

15th September 2012 - The Grand Central Barber-shop Choir. 7.30pm, St Mary's Church. Bottesford.

We are very lucky to have this gold medal winning choir perform at our church in September. The Grand Central Choir, from Longeaton, have won a number of awards, and have represented the UK on several times in America. Expect over 40 perfromers! Tickets will be available very soon.
