Children

Little Angels

Little Angels meet on Tuesdays at 10:30 until 12 noon in St Mary's Church.  The pre-school children and their parents have a Fruit snack followed by craft activities and free play and finished with a short Service at 11:30am.  Parents and carers of 'little angels' are most welcome with your children.  Our Reader, Judith Wells does the Service.

Sunday School

The Sunday School is for children of all ages, 0-11, (and some older children still join us to help out).

We meet once a month from September to July usually on the fouth Sunday of the month.  We meet at 10am in the Methodist Chapel until 11am.  This leaves time to join the service at St Mary's in time for Holy Communion if desired.

We aim to have fun whilst learning together. Sessions include singing, games, Godly Play Bible Stories, simple prayer, (often led by the children), and plenty of creativity, including drama, craft or creative play, depending on the age of the children. We also have special events or activities to celebrate special times or to invite friends, family and interested new members. Please feel free to come along and join us. We'd love to see you.

Contact the Benefice Office: 01949 842859, for details.

Youth

The young people meet on two Fridays a month.  Look up 'youf' on the home page or left navagation bar.  ;-)

Family Service

These Services happen on most first Sundays of the month when the Service is more focused toward children and their families. This is a good service for those not used to church or nervous about having 'noisy' children in church.

Local Schools

Our church is closely linked to our local schools.  Presently we have 2 members of our congregation acting as Foundation Governors on the Governing Body of our local primary school, Bottesford C of E. There are regular joint school/church/community ventures throughout the year.

Church Services and Children

Every member of the Church is welcome and that includes children. We provide activity bags for children to use in the pews (sets). Ask for one at the door when you come in. We also have a children's area towards the back of the church where children can be occupied fairly quietly. There is a speaker in the kitchen to hear the service if you want to take a 'fussing' child out. Out past the kitchen is a toilet where you can change your baby if need be. We are always looking for ways to improve so speak up with your ideas.
